About Copains
This Upper Street shop is the second London branch of Copains, a Parisian bakery that is entirely gluten-free, and it opened in February 2026. It sells gluten-free breads, pastries, sandwiches and croques, and has a small seating area. Gluten-free baking is a particular focus here, which matters if you are coeliac or cooking for someone who is – always ask about cross-contamination controls. Signature bakes include gluten-free croissants, focaccia, financiers and eclairs.
Copains has not published regular opening hours in the sources we use, so it is worth calling ahead or checking social media before a special trip.
The nearest public transport is Essex Road station, about 7 minutes away on foot (0.3 mi). It is not the only option nearby: there are 8 more bakeries within a kilometre, so a bakery crawl is easily done. It is about 2.4 mi from the centre of London. On-site details we know about: not wheelchair accessible.
